Sledding & 4-Day Weekend

This afternoon Ava had a very fun friend birthday party to attend. They did all kinds of arts and crafts including tie-dying shirts and canvas painting. She brought home lots of fun stuff and pinata candy. Exactly her kind of party!

On the way home, we stopped at Kohl's and rummaged through clearance racks to find snow boots for E (her first pair ever!) and snow pants for A. After getting home, we dressed in our snow gear and walked down to the park which has a couple of great sledding hills for kids. The weather was nice enough near 40 degrees with bright sun to melt a bunch of snow off the residential streets. We even hit up the playground on the way home. Judging by E's reaction to walking through the snow, it was the first time for her!

The weather over the past couple of days had originally predicted 12-18" of snow, but we ended up with a mere 5" and two snow days! Craziness!

Wee! Our Dad is so much fun!!

E's turn!

These boots make snow play fun even if I refuse to wear gloves

Didn't take long to get the hang of this!
