Just watching the news, and I must say today's major snow storm caught everyone by surprise. The last big snow storm at the end of February was predicted a week before happening, and people were preparing for snowmageddon. Schools, including colleges and every other business closed while grocery stores were packed the night before. After the prediction of 12-18" we ended up with a mere 5" of snow on February 21.
This evening the 10:00 news reported snow totals of 8" for us folks in the northeast part of town thus far. The prediction on the news last night was for total accumulation of 1-3". Ha! Ca-razy stuff, especially since yesterday was 60 degrees!
Chris worked on homework most of the afternoon at his office while the rest of us stayed in. I made chili along with homemade cinnamon rolls and some chocolate chip cookie dough brownies that I found on Pinterest. We definitely needed the weekend to recover indoors after having some sickness pass through. Little A ended up getting sick at school on Thursday afternoon, and Elsie acted like she wasn't feeling well yesterday. After catching up on some sleep, everyone seems to be fairly normal to start the new week. And it's spring break! The oldest two will be hanging out at home all week while Dad finishes class stuff. Two months until graduation and one happy camper in the house!!
We have a fun week planned. Alexis will be heading to the T@ylor Swift concert on Thursday. Then we're making a family outing when the circus comes to town for the Friday afternoon show. Following circus fun, we're trekking to my sister's house so the rest of the Raasch Five can meet the newest member of the family! Hoping the 60 degree weather for Thursday-Saturday holds true!
