We discovered some really fat bluejays that have been digging around in the backyard

Christmas greetings from Lincoln! Yes, we're snowed in again. This is the first Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning ever spent in Lincoln in the 10+ years that I have lived here. Since I had to work Monday-Thursday this week, there was no leaving town early to avoid the storm that was looming. Sure enough the snow started mid day yesterday and was blowing full force by quitting time. Drifts had already started forming on the main arteries of Lincoln. If we left town, we'd be snowed out for days. And our kitty wouldn't have liked that. Needless to say, Christmas is postponed.
Of course, I am blessed to have spent the day with my little immediate family. However, we were minus one. Alexis was not here at all today. She was snowed in Fremont with her dad's family. She was supposed to have met up with us this morning, but the closed highways have prevented that. The blizzard warning remains in effect until tomorrow morning. I will have to say that the snow fall on Christmas Eve was a beautiful site! I don't ever remember a snow fall on Christmas Eve.
I wish I would have been more prepared for this because we could at least have had the fixings for Christmas dinner! Nope! The stores were even closed by the time I got home yesterday. Oh well. Jesus is the reason for the season, right?!
Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas with family!
