Baby Health Stats

El had her 12-month well baby check at the doctor’s office this morning. Everything checked out just fine, including her ears which she has had problems with over the last couple months! She took the lead/hemoglobin test finger poke and SQUEEZE with a lot of grace. The nurse was thoroughly impressed as E just watched the LONG squeezing process as they need to fill a thin vial and glass slide. E just sucked away on her pacifier and remained very relaxed. She didn’t, however, enjoy the three vaccines jabbed into her thighs that followed, two of which were new vaccines for her. We return in three short months for another checkup.

The stats:

  • 22 pounds, 13 ounces (87th percentile)

  • 29 inches tall (46th percentile)

  • Hemoglobin 11.0 on the low side of normal, but still WNL

  • Lead tested low - which is good

  • Received 3 vaccines

  1. They get so many shots in the first year, poor things. It stinks even though I know it's so important. Yay for a healthy baby girl!!
