Saturday we made a little trip to a local nature center before heading back to the hotel to get pretty for the fancy wedding. The wedding turned out to be absolutely gorgeous, and the beautiful bride looked stunning as did the rest of the wedding party. A large buffet dinner tasted amazing, prepared by a chef friend from Kansas City.
Weddings are very different in the South. There were some elements of a midwest "Nebraska" wedding tied into the reception, and you should have seen the confused looks on faces! Who on earth has ever heard of a dollar dance?!? Haha. It was a 4:00 wedding, and by the time 7:00 rolled around, many people had left. The wedding/dinner/dance was completely over by 8:45 when we threw fresh rose petals and wished the newlyweds farewell before they sped off.
Ya'll don't forget to check out the pictures!
Here are my girls in their dresses that I found on clearance!
(Getting a picture of all 3 is quite difficult these days)
Entertaining the girls while waiting for the ceremony to start

The happy couple!

A family photo with everyone looking!!

A not-so-lady-like pose from Miss A

I'm not sure the actual names of the wedding colors but they were a sort of bright green and coral-like colors, which looked summery and went well together.
Fresh flowers were everywhere!

My beautiful sister!
Ava LOVED watching everyone dance
It wasn't long before she joined in the dancing...

And dancing...

And dancing...

And more dancing!
Grandma even got her groove on!
The third and final post on this vacation will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
