December Happenings

Wrapping up another weekend...literally.

My classes are five days from ending, and I couldn't be more excited! Life has been stressful over the past month. Guess that's what I get for taking two classes during the busy holiday season. I'm finishing up two group presentations that take place this week. I'm also thrilled that my Christmas shopping is now DONE and the gifts about 90% wrapped. Looking forward to much needed, relaxing time with family during Christmas week. Two weeks to go.

We attended the annual Miracle on 70th Street event at the local hospital on the 1st. We enjoyed a nice breakfast, freebies and got a cute portrait of the girls on Santa's lap after waiting in line for well over an hour. If that picture flopped, this momma would not have been terribly thrilled. :) I was proud of the girls being super patient to see Santa during that loooong wait. He was one popular guy that day!

The girls had their daycare Christmas program last Thursday evening. The kids were all so cute! They seemed to have a good time. Big sister has her band/jazz band concert this Tuesday. She has really improved on the trombone over the past year. Looking forward to watching her perform again.

Another very fun detail...this is my first post from my new laptop!! Thanks to improved, faster technology, homework takes much less time. The Windows 8 feature was intimidating at first, but I actually like the customization aspect of it. I learn something new every time I turn it on.

More to come on an early Christmas gift from my amazing beloved...

Side note: the Christmas cards I ordered in a hurry came back with an error on them. UGH! I went through all of them with a white pen and black pen to "fix" them. If you happen to see one, please don't laugh. I already feel incredibly stupid.
