My thoughts are consumed with sadness of last Friday's events.
Really? People are blaming this on mental illness?? It wasn't some 20-year old bastard's fault?? Excuse me.
No, I don't (normally) suffer from mental illness. Perhaps my opinion (like everyone else's) should be kept to myself.
However, having such a devastating plan in mind is beyond understanding of an "illness."
And legal assault rifles?
Obviously, I don't get it.
As these innocent people are laid to rest this week, my prayer is for strength and coping for these hurting families.
Heaven has acquired these angels to now look after their earthly families.
It really hits me hard having both a Kindergartner and an elementary school administrator at home.
This morning gave me an eerie feeling while dropping Ava off at school.
I pray for safety on my children, family, schools and city.
The whole situation has given me the realization that we're so very blessed. It makes my problems in life seem so minute and petty.
