After a few weeks of quiet planning, the Gates kids pulled off a successful, stellar surprise last Saturday. Over 50 people helped my dad celebrate a (dreaded) milestone birthday, including my aunt from out of state and uncle from central Nebraska. Unbeknownst to my dad and mom, his sister and her husband made the drive from Arkansas. They were both soooo surprised - it was a very cool thing to pull off!
Thanks to my brother for hosting the event and for all my sister's and sister-in-law's efforts!
