The Indoor Play Center

Beautiful weather Sunday alert!!! It was a record-setting day here in Lincoln. 66 degrees! Even after sunset, I was jogging around the neighborhood in shorts and a t-shirt. We made the most of it by running errands, picking up leaves in the yard (thanks, honey!) and even grilling dinner (again- thanks, honey!).

Big sister was selected for All-City Band/Orchestra Festival, so she had a 3-hour rehearsal at Pershing last Thursday morning. I took the morning off and played chauffeur for rehearsal, lunch and the return to school. They performed in concert that evening there as well. Unfortunately, I had class. I'm rethinking this school thing as I'm missing all these kid events lately! Ugh. :(

Alexis and I also went to the first high school meeting last Wednesday night. It lasted over two hours and was very informative! Coming from a rural community and a H.S. graduating class of 59, we had few electives and opportunities. E@st is a truly impressive school! So many opportunities to excel and be involved in activities. I learned that the high school has a graduation rate of 94+% which is not only the highest in the city but the highest in the state of Nebraska! Wow.

This weekend marks Elsie's first friend birthday party attendance. She has been thoroughly excited ever since she got that invitation. Her big sister was finally the one left out instead of her. Luckily, I didn't get the urge to paint something this weekend. It gets to be very consuming!

Here are some pics of E's friend's birthday party at the indoor play center this afternoon. She had a blast!

The trike was the perfect size for her. She did lap after lap after lap.

Lots of ball pits! Loved those when I was little.
