For the past three weeks, Little A has been pottying in the big toilet here and there! She does quite well at daycare - seeing her peers I think helps a lot. She has frequent dry diapers, but has not quite gotten to the point of telling us when she has to go. I don't think she's mastered "the urge" yet. Obviously, we have a full plate trying to prepare for our baby's arrival, so keeping up with it has been hard with the little energy I have. She can certainly be stubborn at times. This weekend she has been too "busy" and would rather wet her diaper, so it's been frustrating. Yesterday, I decided that maybe if we tried training pants (thick cotton "big girl panties"), she would do better. Of course the first couple of times, she peed in the them but was immediately disturbed that it was running down her leg and uncomfortable. (Good thing we have several changes of them!) She finished in the toilet though! We have noticed that she now "holds" herself and runs to the bathroom so not to have an accident. Maybe it's working! I've never really believed in Pull Ups - after all they are diapers that go on and off a little easier. She is truly very proud of herself to wear "big girl panties." She was even okay with putting a diaper on for the nighttime last night.
We'll just hope and pray that she continues to keep up the good work. I know it will be awhile before leaving the house in underwear will make me feel comfortable though!!
