2010 has been a year of hospitals and doctor visits. We are thankful for health insurance!! Since returning home from Elsie's stay at Children's Hospital, she has had two follow up appointments with our local pediatrician. Both of which have given good news that she is gaining weight as before. At the second appointment on Tuesday, she does not show any signs or symptoms of the RSV virus! Even the cough that we were told would linger for 2-3 weeks has cleared up. Her most recent weight was 11 pounds 7 ounces which is up a whole pound since leaving the hospital 6 days prior! Sometimes I feel like she eats all the time now trying to make up for lost time.
Today I retrieved our kitty, Pom, from the Feline Hospital. He had surgery yesterday to be declawed and altered and also received his vaccinations and deworming (just in case). He seems to be recovering well so far and thoroughly enjoys being back home! We are hoping that his procedures will help with his naughty behavior... I will definitely not miss that lovely claw-in-the-furniture sound! Maybe Ava's scratch wounds will heal up and be no more. The girls missed their kitty just after being gone one evening. Deep down inside they must like him a little bit!!
3/12 Update: The cat's orneriness is back, if not worse..... AND he finds enjoyment in pulling at his sutures. Grrr...
